I prefer WP personally, but only because I have the most experience with it. I never knew the amount of free Drupal plugins and themes was so close to that of Wordpress.

Some nice plugins listed here too, a lot I haven't heard of before.

Among three program, in my opinion, joomla is more like a CMS, fully functional and easy to use. But hard to modify to suit your special requirement.

Wordpress could be, of course with plugins, any kind of site. But due to the biggest open source platform, many plugin quality not very well. So if your website data is big, I prefer not wordpress. (Of course, if you have ability to optimize or hire someone to do so, ignore this.)

Drupal, I would say really really powerful if you know coding (also if you have money:)). In fact, it is hard to say drupal is a CMS system. It is more like a architecture, if you know how to fill it with appropriate gadgets.

So my opinion. If you want to setup a personal or small business site, wordpress is best. If you want to setup a information and news site with standard gadgets, joomla is good (of course, wordpress is ok, but with many plugin especially some plugin with low effecient). If you want to setup a big project, guys, drupal si best.
