My site is targeting 1 main keyword, and about 15 minor ones. I'm going to create alot of articles for the minor keywords and backlink them heavily.

I'm using wordpress. As the home page, should I use a static page with article containing my main keyword, or should I use the wordpress standard news (showing new posts)?

Also, should I use pages or posts to create new articles?

If it is a tutorial based then static for ease of navigation - Info site then dynamic

For a few sites that we have in the rapid deployment indexing phase we use a pretty plain WP site with a 'Sticky' blog post and then regular blog posts underneath it.

So your Sticky post will target your primary keyword and the rotating additional posts target your minor ones.

Make your main kw article as page and stick it at front page..and use post for your minor kw..
