I would like to show a static page as my wp blog front page, so i went to wpadmin \ settings \ reading \ and in reading i selected at the top.

Front page displays : A static page (select below).
I then selected the page from the list ( Our Services) and click save changes.

However if i now go to the front page the front page show : NOT FOUND Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn?t here.

Also if i click on the menu bar the page i selcted to be the front page Our Services), then it also show a error.

But when i go back to reading and changes it to show latest post then o.k and also the Our Services page in menu bar when clicked on works.

I am not sure how to fix this and will be willing to pay to fix it.

Please PM and i will give you admin access to the blog in question

What do your perma-links look like? The structure. It could be a conflict with your theme. Try changing the theme back to the original WP theme (just for a moment) and keep the static front page.
Visit the blog after that and see if it works.... if all is ok, it is a conflict with the theme, if not.... I will have a better idea of what may be the issue.

it is easy. first create the static page which you want to show. do it from the create page menu. then create a page named "blog". don't write anything to it.

Now changed the settings to your static page and in blog section choose "blog" (page) and everything will work.

I cannot spoon feed you here. gotta look for settings yourself (where they are).

Also, doing this much is not enough for some themes. if you leave it here, some themes will show double "home" link. One is the original one and second one is the "Blog" page.

I can do it for you tomorrow if you want.
