I have never used Wordpress*com as my hosting site, but I'm registering a domain and would like to use wordpress for it's themes (being free doesn't hurt either)
I used blogger in the past.

    QUESTIONS:
Will I have the ability to point my Domain to the wordpress server?
It says when registering I can't customize my FREE blog, is that completely true?
If not, where do most of you download (safely) high quality WP themes, since mine will be an authority site. Thank you Blackhatters.

You can point your domain to Wordpress.com site for a small fee. I think you will also have to register a domain with them.

    It's a free blog.

The high quality themes that you can download is Thesis, Genesis, Headway or Woothemes template. Those are well developed and backed by famous company. Themes are developed by small design company may not be as secured as theirs.

You can simply redirect your .com domain to your wordpress.com blog. Just check your domain settings, it must be somewhere there.
