Is there a WordPress plug-in that can act as an opt-in, collect emails, and whenever I want, I can send out emails?

If you're only planning on a small list you could use Wordpress plugins like these:
    Code:
    [URL]http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/autoresponder-gwa/[/URL]
    [URL]http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-responder-email-autoresponder-and-newsletter-plugin/[/URL]
    [URL]http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7-autoresponder-addon-plugin/[/URL]
But if you intend to build a big list and you need to transfer (from Wordpress above) to an autoresponder with more flexibility later on, like aweber or getresponse, transferring it could be a pain.

    SEOWhizz,

    Two questions.

    1. WHy a small list? What happens when it gets bigger?
    2. Why would it be a pain to transfer?

None of your suggestions would work for me and my clients.

I'm looking for the ultimate newsletter plugin for WP that has the built-in Facebook integration (capture email address).

I have the "best" newsletter WP plugin, but no FB support feature (see http://tribulant.com/plugins/view/1/wordpress-newsletter-plugin developer license).

I have wpsubscribers.com plugin (unlimited license), but it does not have the support for the "bells and whistles" newsletter plugin like Tribulant.

    Suggestions?

SEOWhizz, can you explain why transferring will be pain?
I have site that gets some traffic now, but now ready with offer to promote yet(will need couple more months...)
I was thinking to collect email and later to add them(transfer) to mailchimp and such, what kind of problems i can have.

    thx!

    1. The paid autoresponder services have better functionality to handle larger lists than free WP plugins. And plugins may not be updated by the developer.

Also, assuming you have your site hosted on standard shared type hosting, and you send mails out, all it takes is one spam complaint, and the host may close your account, as it may breach their ToS.

    2. For the better autoresponders like aweber, they don't allow bulk importing of emails, so if you're planning to import from a Wordpress plugin, you will need to get all the subscribers to opt in again.
If you're considering collecting the mail now then mailing later, note that Mailchimp don't like affiliate links.
