I have a certain format for permalinks on certain blog posts but I want to convert to a different permalink structure that will help my rankings. Is it possible to leave a certain permalink on my previous blog posts but make my current blog posts use a new permalink style?
There are plugins you can get. I read somewhere once that there was a plugin that allowed you to change the permalink from a certain date. So if you made blogs in say 2011 you could make new permalinks for blogs made in 2012 and leave 2011 the same. There is also a plugin called ''Permalink Finder'' i'm currently using it. When an old link is clicked and the permalink for it has been changed it will re-direct you to it automatically. It detects common words in the old link to the new one. pretty handy.
