Go ahead and make a full backup of your website and restore it in the new hosting.
Also, all famous hosting companies offer free transfers.
Just give them your old hosting details and they will do the rest for you.

Check the plugin Duplicator for WordPress. It is the best solution.

Definitely speak to the new host because as said above, they will quite often help you with the transfer for free.

If that is not the case, then you need to do a full backup and restore at the other end, if you are comfortable working with FTP, cpanel etc its quite easy - in fact if you have cpanel I think you can do a full site and database backup through their interface.
At the other end it will be a case of craeting an empty database, restoring the database contents into it, uploading the files via FTP and then editing wp-config.php to include the new database details.

If you are not comfortable with doing that sort of thing, then you really need to get some outside help.

I have a contact that I could recommend for doing this sort of thing at a very reasonable cost - if needed, just ask.
