    So I'm trying to make a simple wordpress page. Not a blog.

    So I wanted to make my home page a static page rather than the default posts page.
    I found the option for that but on the link bar along the top that shows the separate pages I'll have "Home About Home etc. " So I can't get rid of the second "Home" link without deleting the page.

    This is a problem that I need to solve ASAP so any help would be greatly appreciated. Right now the only thing I can think of is editing the CSS but I plan on doing alot of these in the near future so that takes too long.

    What about just saving the page off your blog you want as the homepage and naming it index.html. Most server config files are set to show index.html before index.php

    You could do it manually, at the moment the links are being generated by wordpress with something to list all the pages.

    Code:
    <?php wp_list_pages('arguments'); ?>
    You could right click view source on the actual page you view. Then just copy and paste the html and remove the second home.

    Then go into the header.php file or whatever file it is in and search for wp_list_pages remove that and paste in the html inside an echo command.

    e.g.
    Code:
    echo "HTML CODE HERE";
    Hopefully that explained it.

    i think what shm03 said will work. See the problem is I need to make the pages in such a way that someone else can edit it through the wordpress platform without any real html or css knowledge. So I guess just changing the css for the list pages is my best option.

    This one would put in meta robot tags by demand on each page. I don't know if it would do what you need, but maybe something to look at:

    ..and sorry, i should have read the post through
