Hello I have to set up a payment on a Wordpress website it's just for 1 item could anyone give me any suggestions how to do it ? I've tried one plugin but it looked too complicated (WooCommerce) but it's for a lot of items and I need it just for 1.

Also I would like to make music auto-play when someone enters the website to automatically play music.

P.S Do I have to pay VAT etc. to sell that item it's basically a Wristband ?

For one item all you need to do is use a PayPal buy now button and insert it into your website.

Yep paypal is all you need. Regards VAT, if you're in the UK and earn less than a certain amount then no. You can if you want, but its probably not worth it unless you have a ton of outgoings you can claim VAT back on.

Just implement the HTML code for a PayPal payment button on to the site. It's the simplest way to offer a payment solution on your site and you can easily set it up for just one product.

I would like to add that you need to make sure the item you are selling is within PayPal's terms of service because by
directly placing it on your website they can easily track what you are selling and blacklist your domain if it is against their terms.

Sounds like you are in the UK.

Unless you plan on selling more than £77,000 worth of these wristbands annually then you need not charge VAT. Its an input output tax anyway. unless you are manufacturing your product you are already paying VAT on the purchase price you pay, all you are doing is passing this charge onto the customer and offsetting your own VAT bill by claiming it back on the output side.

The exchequer changes the level off the VAT threshold every year in the budget. Invariably it always goes up by a few thousand.

As for your purchase button use Paypal but make sure you read the terms and conditions carefully. If you breach their rules (by selling product they do not like) they will freeze your account at the drop of a hat. You may not then be able to access the funds.
