No I don't have this plugin, but I know that it exists somewhere because I have seen it in use. This plugin does exactly what the title states. Someone visits your blog and after a predetermined amount of page/post views, they are prompted to sign up for membership before they can see/do anything else on your blog. It really is that simple so I won't try to explain it anymore. If you know, let me.

    But the reason I ask:
On my website EverythingAbercrombie.com, I post all of the store music playlists and other info about the store/company. Finding this information online used to take divine intervention. That's how I got the idea for the site (and I work there). I have used a mailing list to force access to store music sections before and it worked GREAT! The only problem was I wasn't getting ranked in Google for ANF store music related searches, so I made the playlists public. Now my site ranks tops for a lot of the those search terms mostly because I have no competition. It's a trade off; though traffic is way up and climbing (for music related searches), new member registration has plummeted!
The only thing keeping registration up is my scans of Abercrombie's controversial (semi-porn) catalog photos.
Unlike 99% of websites, I have a uber-specific visitor base that ends up on my site for even more specific reasons. They WILL register for my site because they know that there is no other way to get the information I have provided. There is no competition AT ALL! So you can see where this plugin would do wonders for me.

I need your help! Does anyone know where I can find this plugin/script?

are you sure that is it a plugin? Could it not be that certain posts have been protected to registered users only or password protected?

I'm sure that it was not anything like that. I have experimented with different ways to lock content, so I know that this was either a plugin or some genius script. When I searched for it, I could not find it, but I ran into a couple of others who have heard of it and they said it was a plugin too.

If we can find this damn thing, it would be one hell of a share on BHW for sure!

    This is an AWESOME concept.

I would love to have a plugin that required reg after a certain number of page views.

If anyone knows of a way to do this, please please please share!!

What a way to force interested readers to commit and get rid of lookie-lous!

    Thanks in advance.

it is a plugin...trying to find it right now...just tooooo much stuff on my drives and I need to get things more organized.

wondering if it is on my laptop...I will find it but it may be over the weekend. unless someone posts it sooner...I will track it down.

what it does is cookie a visitor and after a set amount of page views they are told to join to continue viewing.

    off to search

Hmmm....the way i see it. i think it is a very good concept but some people are REALLY lazy and would probably stem away from the page if you asked them to register...

looking forward to your find rhino. some of the major online newspapers use this method ... they let u read a couple paragraphs of an article ... then require u to register to get the full story.
