2 questions actually. Trying to get into google news and want to know if I can easily make my next post's post ID over 100 (google news require URLs have 3 digits)

The other question is a permalink question. at the moment mine is %category%/%title%/
is it possible to have the post ID listed after the title without another direcroty. so like..

    instead of this
    %category%/%title%/%id%

    have this

    %category%/%title%-%id%/

real life example being the structure Geek.com has their URLs

Create a single post, go into the database via phpmyadmin and edit the post ID for it :)

I dont wish to hijack the thread but why does google news require URLs to have 3 digits?

I ask because in terms of SEO it dosent seem logical. I mean why would I want a site to say something like www.exampledomain.com/blah/blah/100 instead of www.exampledomain.com/blah

Nice short and descriptive post titles helps SEO, and numbers are a pointless...so why would google news demand 3 numbers in it?

To make it over 100 I think you could do it via phpmyadmin by accessing the database and the wp_posts table then clicking Operations and editing AUTO INCREMENT.

To change the URL format, use these tags: /%category%/%postname%-%post_id%/
    you had it right actually..
