Wordpress: Display specific category only on home page

Hi,

I would like to display one specific post category on my wordpress blog home page.

This includes the posts and the category description field.

I've searched on Google, but cant see to find an answer. A long shot I know, but does anyone know?

PS: I'm using Genesis sample theme.

If it's a small amount of content. You can edit the homepage template and add it directly.

Oh I see, I'm using home.php so I'm guessing I can add some content to that.

just remember to do any modifying in your child theme and not directly, otherwise next update you'll lose it and have to do it all over again, in fact every time you have an update
