Here is my post to an earlier Askimet thread today about SB ccmments :
Interesting, I went to Askimet to do some digging, you know what do I do if my comment gets falsely tagged as spam?
I went visiting some of their corporate services/offerings and saw a link regarding their RBL services. That caught my eye and sure enough the link went directly to SpamTEQ, a Spamhaus Datafeed Service. So does Askimet as part of their secret sauce uses the Spamhaus RBL list which driven by SBL (spammers) & XBL (botnet) addresses? If so my guess is that some of the shared proxies and their IP addresses no doubt got you caught by the Spamhaus SBL.
Other members agreed that Askimet uses Spamhaus hence the need for good private proxies particularly is what you are doing is spammy.
I have had URL's get placed into the spam box using scrapebox so I have been doing 301's internally and hiding my links. I of course rotate Names and email's... but do well with hiding things internally.
Also as far as private proxies go I am working on increasing the volume I use but so far I see an increase in approval.... But I still tend to harvest shared because of the amount of commenting I am doing.
I had my URL banned after maybe 20K comments. I rotated names and emails, but used the same link. When doing it manually I could see Akismet was catching them. If I changed the URL to a different site I'd be fine.
I use public proxies (100+) for all scraping and private (10) for all posting, if that matters.
A quick email to them and a day later and I'm open again. But I'll only start posting to a smaller list of high PR blogs direct and then spam my feeder links.
