Just checked some of mine, older ones did not change, newer ones have this when I do new posts now.

Also, some of my affiliate links changed to this redirect:

    http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/

Wouldn't have noticed so soon myself.

I did some research on that and I'm still not sure if links are still worthwhile.

Wordpress said on their blog that they are using the redirection for a skimlinks ad service they are running. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/link-redirection-through-go2wordpresscom

Then checkout this blog post on the skimlinks site Does Skimlinks affect my SEO or Google PageRank?

    basically, they have no idea

"The truth is, we cannot be 100% certain. Google understandably keeps its proprietary search algorithms secret, and although they give guidance as to what is acceptable, there is still a degree of interpretation involved in whatever they state."

One thing's for certain - Google will be missing out on a lot of quality signals if it disregards all post-links on Wordpress.com

I don't think it would be in their interests to do this.
