Hey everyone, I have a wordpress site and I was wondering if I should keep my categories or remove them?

With the category, it makes my URL looks like
    site.com/category/asdqwe

Without the category, it removes the "category" and looks cleaner
    site.com/asdqwe

Now, from a SEO/Site structure point of view, which one is better?

Thanks for your help! Your link was definitely helpful :) Considering my URL is already long, I'll remove the category.

As such this won't impact your SEO efforts... but in terms of navigation, categories helps in simplifying navigation. Which makes your website more user-friendly.
