This is my journey to hold myself accountable, and hopefully offer some insights into growing a blog to 1k per month.
My site is about relationship advice, but built upon a site that used to be a tube site project that never started off properly - and frankly it was boring as heck to work on it, never liked it.
So here I am now with advice / blogging type of posts instead of embedding videos, and I believe that this site will be a lot more fun to work on.
So far I have built the site, wrote some sample posts, surprisingly got monetized by adsense which I thought I wouldn't have access to with a site about love and relationships and stuff. I also registered accounts on social media, but haven't done much with them so far, everything is early stages still.
My goal is to split my time between writing more posts and promoting them, mainly through Reddit and quora and maybe twitter down the line. Quora seems like a good place both to get ideas / questions to answer and also to drive traffic to my site, at least I hope it will work out that way. Down the road I'm thinking of also running a YouTube channel with voiceover versions of my posts, those should be relatively simple to make and might just bring extra traffic and affiliate income.
So here is basically Day0, even though I have already done a bit of work on setting everything up, but nothing spectacular so far, maybe a week of relaxed evening work and coming up with a plan.
123 views on Quora answers thus far, a handful of website views, not really any earnings worth talking about so far. Ads are implemented, but no affiliate links yet, I think I'll try with a couple e-books on Amazon as soon as I have the mindspace to think about good offers to promote.
