I am about to begin my venture into autoblogs. I was wondering, what plug-ins (free of course) work with the updated version of wordpress for auto blogging. I did not like wp-o-matic because it did not post tags... If i have to use an older version of wordpress can someone tell me how to downgrade?

AFAIK no free plugins works perfectly with 2.8.3 out of the box, but I think autoblogged 2.4.2 nulled can be hacked somehow.

    For olders wp versions,
    Code:

It would be better for you to work with a back version of WP (like 2.6 or 2.71) that is known to work with the major autoblogging plugins, then only upgrade when you know the plugins have been made compatible with it.

    Stick to 2.7.1 for now..

I'm still not confident with 2.8.*

I have been trying them all. Wp-o-matic, wpmixer, autoblogged, hotfeed, caffeinated content etc... in my honest opinion the best one is wprobot... has amazon, clickbank, ebay, yahoo answers, article DB's, youtube video and Google translation. Easy 1 page config... the others are just a hassel...

Read somewhere on this forum that a BHW member sells it... well worth the money. I purchased the unlimited keywords with all the addons... nice :D

wprobot doesn't work correctly, it pulls files from ebay and clickbank but they are left in draft mode. this means you have to post them yourself.

I'm in competition with WPRobot right now with (Blogsense-WP), I might be his only real competition for power autoblogging, imco.

And in my fair assessment is in allot of ways, he has me beat. And sometimes I even think of changing over to his until I remember the special perks of my own.

    1. His interface is easier to work with, where BlogSense-WP is a stand alone configurable script, not a plugin, so you end up editing the script through your choice file editor. This makes the learning curve of BlogSense-WP greater than WPRobot.

    2. Both work with amazon, ebay, clickbank rss, but his is set up creates the feeds on the backend automatically, where you have to find and prepare the feeds your are going use manually with BlogSense.

    3. WPRobot allows you to create settings for each affiliate module, for example: You can set up a clickbank ad to post every 3 days, and you can set a amazon ad to post every two days. This hands down is WPRobot's greatest feature over BlogSense. But This is a feature that I plan on implenting into BlogSense soon cause it is just smart.

    4. WPRobot has support for Yahoo Answers integration, which BlogSense doesnt because I havent worked with it myself yet, so haven't been driven to implement it.

Now here is where BlogSense-WP wins

    1. Cheaper. lol.

    2. Offers same server image hosting along with auto insertion of alt tags into images. Plus little features like do you want images to float to the left, right, or have no float and be centered.

    3. BlogSense supports RSS of all types, and is powered by the rss feeds you indicate. This allows you to source Amazon, Ebay, Clickbank, etc, even in targeted ways, but you have to get the rss feeds yourself.
This design nature also lets you include other feeds that you created through yahoo pipes, or grabbed from other blog feeds.

    4. BlogSense helps sort through unwanted content in your rss feeds through lists of include keywords that define your niche, and exclude keywords that keep out content might be similar in keywords but unrelevant.

    5. BlogSense lets you credit sources if you like.

    6. BlogSense is a blog blog loader, it helps you save time in the initial setup of your blog, such as permalinks, plugin uploading, random theme selection (if wanted), category creation, blog title, email address, blog subtitle.

    7. Blogsense will auto-bookmark post through the OnlyWire API.

    8. BlogSense will auto-tweet each post as its published to the twitter acount of your choice.

    9. BlogSense will auto-spin your content, which spinning never is perfect, but this feature comes in handy sometimes.

    10. Strip links from post.

and those are the greatest differences right now. In a sense, you could purchase them both and run them together. WPRobot would save you time on the affiliate orriented posting, and provide greater posting flexibility, while BlogSense would provide the BlogLoading features and the ability to add other rss feeds.

I'd like to come back here again in a month and redraw the differences.

WP-o-matic seemed very buggy in WP 2.8.6 — I'd recommend installing it but not using it (and then waiting for an upgrade notification in the meantime)
