Just wanted to ask to see if anyone knows what's going on... I have a Word Press blog attached to one of my sites, and I posted something for Rejuvamax HGH powder, along with my affiliate link. Didn't think much of it, but I've been getting like 100 comments a day on that post (which I moderate, and mark as spam) so none of these spam comments are getting through. The wierd thing is, according to Google, that blog post has 219 back links, and it has put me to the top of the searches for Rejuamax HGH powder! Most of the Google backlinks are all variations and subdomains of a few suspect looking URLs, which IE blocked as a "dangerous site".

OK, so what's going on? Are they trying to siphon off or hack any affiliate clicks I might get? I've taken advantage of the high ranks by placing a link on top of the blog post, pointing people back to the main site, for my main product, BUT I'm wondering, should I delete this blog post? Is this some sort of dangerous security breach, or just relatively harmless spamming? I mean, if all they wanted was to spam some backlinks for Viagra, cheap insurance, cheap airline tickets, etc, etc, why did I end up with so many suspect backlinks?

    Thanks!

Sounds like someone building backlinks to their blog comments. I wouldn't worry about it.

Maybe they are trackbacks of your comments? As long as your site isn't doing anything wrong, I don't see it as a big deal. I've heard of people trying to sabotage other websites, but this is actually quite hard to do and mostly it only works in temporary.
