I find it difficult to write a 500 word article sometimes. Is it necessary to have 500 words, or is it more important to have 300-500?

I'm sure you have some sentences that can be broken down into 3 different sentences by not exaggerating too much and making your point a little slower. Try to get 500 still imo

I would just suck it up and try for 400 to 600 words. The more words, the better. Sometimes if i cannot come up with something I will just paraphrase what I was talking about or do a conclusion at the end of the article.

300+ should suffice. But obviously the longer the better. How much you can write often depends on the topic, how much you know about it already or how much info you can dig up on it.
