adsense has nothing to do with indexing.

Well it has to know what kind of site you have for it to show relevant ads.

I have read that it wont make any difference.
But my personal experience says that adding adsense on a page helps to get indexed fast, especially for inner pages of a site.

no dif. although it would make sense. ;-)

But hey they will and would never claim if that would help ... cause then this would not be an objective indexing anymore ;-)

I don't remember exactly how far back in the past. I think it was 3,4 years ago. That time it helped. But only for a short time (a few month)

I don't see nowadays that it helps Google to index a site quicker, personally I know many methods that will help my hand built sites to get indexed in a pretty short time, so it doesn't matter whether Google Adsense bots help to index my site or not.

I agree over the past year I have used adsense and have not seen any pages get indexed quicker. I still have some large sites that I do not believe all pages are indexed. You would think google would index em and rank em higher to help their profits. From my expierences it seems google almost makes it very difficult to succeed with adsense sites. In the past ppl were making claims of making very nice incomes with adsense, seems at the present many pple I have spoken to, like myself, have had a large decrease in adsense income and some have even lost accounts for various reasons.
The adsense bot is different than the indexing bot.
So in short the answer would be no, no diff.

aliskorn: Nothing special, or blackhat, I usually put my new site's link on one of my older (in most of the times an authority) site, that is visited by Google bots frequently. Of course I do this with whitehat sites.

I have not seen an increase in indexing speed due to adsense.
The way I get indexed faster is I make a new post on my blogspot blog that is pretty crappy but is a PR2 and heavily scrapped by other sites.

Definitely not from my point of view.

I have a site that is about 15000 pages. Adsense on every single page.

Still sandboxed after about three months.
Of course, I suck at SEO and the site in question isn't really worth bothering with.

Just submit your sitemap if you want a new site to be index in a few hours.

I'm not so convinced by the sandboxing theory anymore. It seems that if you link to your site off of only a few sites, you get indexed and stay indexed, where if you article spam with gsa trying to build mass backlinks, you get penalized.

I have found the sitemap submission to tremendously help, and if you can, get G webmaster tools involved. It seems to do something positive as well.

Best way to get ranked is to link a blog as Big G loves blogs (think fresh content)

Don't put adsense on the site if you can avoid it as it will always effect ranking (negatively) you'd think Goggle would favor sites with adsense but the opposite is true.

I based this statement on data 12 months ago but doubt things have changed that much?

according to most I know, and people I trust, it will only hurt you to start out with adsense on it... Avoid if you can! I have started a handful of sites out with it from the get go and struggled to bring them up the ranks!
