I've looked at various seo services' sales page here and most of them don't offer services for these niches. I was wondering why not these niches and why would someone lose potential clients of these niches. Just wondering.
PS. I'm not trying to rank for them. Just curious.

    Thank you.
    MAx.

Just a simple matter of the sites they use, whether PBNs or blogs or what not, would need to be adult/pharma etc. related. You cannot go and advertise those steaming hot sex cams on a baby clothing blog, now can you?

That said, there are providers who can deliver adult SEO services etc. Just keep looking.

Some of us don't care to wallow in mud, others of us don't want those KWs on our sites and yet others of us realize that trying to rank those KWs takes much more money than most are willing to spend as they are usually extremely competitive.

Most of them are not interested to do service in the porn niche.. But in the other side, service in the Gambling niche are still moving on.. The main reason for this is well said by Lostconnection..

Hope there is nothing to wonder here..

Those type niches are mostly competitive and the ones you end up competing against will mostly use negative seo
like standard seo, you know what I mean.

There a lot more competitive niches but providers usually stay away from those 3.
I think it is more like a false knowledge that having links to these kind of sites hurt you.

That's because those are extremely spammy niches and sites that link to them will get penalised faster than sites that link to those in other niches. High PR Society accepts sites in those niches, but they are linked to from separate blogs designed for use in those niches only.

This is because the ROI ranking these kinds of niches is not great since you may have to spend way more money as an SEO service compared to other niches.

because those niches are no joke. there's lot of big players in those niches that know them inside out and usually have endless amounts of money to spend.

Some people just don't like touching projects that are outside of their comfort zone, the perfect example would be a content writer whom doesn't write for "Blackhat" niches (like gambling or porn).

I personally DO write for them, but that's only because I'm in it for the money (I also have no problem covering adult-related topics, maybe it's more of a preference thing to some as well), and when you can cover more niches you're going to bring more business in.

Those that DON'T cover these topics are just looking to be safe when it comes to their businesses reputation, at least that's what I would assume.

Well some people do not want to "mess" with those niches because they may think that they are bad or "evil", other people just know that ranking a site on those niches takes much more money than what their client is willing to pay. Another reason would be that there are already tons of established sites on those niches that grow "organically" building an audience that always comes back for more and would not even consider going to another site (this applies mostly to the adult sites).

Exact, there is an ethical aspect too.

In any case Gambling and porn niches are really different from "normal" niches, this means that baby site and car site aren't in the same niche but are good togheder.

    1. Most of those industries are tough to enter and rank well in. It's not impossible, and it can be done but it's going to require an extra layer of thought and some providers just want to stick to what they're good at.

    2. The links aren't appropriate for their strategies. For example, if I had a blog network and then approved a client with the keyword "free sex tube" and then we had other sites on the same network related to: kids games, baby names, etc.. it's going to conflict and most people will complain.

    3. These are spammy industries and most of the people are ranking due to spam.. which means its unstable and chances are you're going to have a tough time ranking unless you really have thousands and thousands of dollars to dish out each month.

    4. Some sites just don't accept porn links for example. If you bought an all in one package, the web 2.0 sites won't accept porn and the only way around that is to change your strategy. For example, you could alter your content to something more soft to allow it to get approved.

These are just a few of the many reasons. It's just too much extra hassle.
