I'm currently using adwords at the moment but it's working out terrible. We have currently spent £70+ for £30 of sales so obviously this isn't cost effective. Just wondering if anyone could suggest ideas or take a look to see what i'm doing wrong.

I would really appreciate any help!

    Thanks

    Jack

If you are doing your own products, then I could assist some,
If not , then I wouldn't be familiar

I am indeed doing my own products, e.g I have them in stock, but they're not unique products that are custom made if that's what you mean. :)

Slow down a minute. If you are getting 30 return for a 70 spend on an adwords campaign that has not been optimized you may still be doing ok. There are some 10-20 places in the sales process where you can improve your campaign, so don't abandon things yet.

I can look at some screen shots, if you can get them to me, and I am willing to give you feedback on your campaign.

I would need to see 1) your ad(s) and their conversion rates, both available from adwords, one screenshot. 2) your landing page and any stats you have on it, if you have Cpanel access "Awstats" will give us this info for a screenshot, and don't forget the screenshot of your landing page 3) your sales page and any stats on it. Last, I would want to look at your checkout process.

This would tell us a lot about your campaign.

    Cheers~

    PM me if you want.

One of the biggest mistakes I see is casting too wide a net on keywords. As an example, if you sell a black, rubber iPhone case, don't bid on "iphone case" or "iphone cases," bid on "black rubber iphone case." You'll get fewer ad impressions and traffic, but the traffic you do get will be much more likely to convert into buyers.

Also, remember to utilize your negative keywords as well. If you sell new iPhone cases then make sure you have keywords like "used" set as a negative keyword. That way if someone Googles "used iphone case" your ads aren't coming up.

    If u made a sale

Try to tweak everything to its best with all the info u gathered from the campaign

The first campaign is alway for testing or as gathering info
