Hey B-Hatters!

For those who didn't already know, RapidShare has now made it so that non-Premium accounts can upload a file. However, it can only be downloaded 10 times. After that, it is no longer available for download. Good or Bad - That is the way it is.

There is good news though. You can upload a file to Rapidspread, which makes it simultaniously available at several download sites. This way, if one goes down, there or still others to choose from.

Code:
http://www.rapidspread.com/

This is WizGizmo . . . and I approve this message :)

Or just use MediaFire, MegaUpload and thousands of other file uploading services.

I don't think this is entirely correct. A premium account still comes with the same perks as before; however a collectors account, which is free, can be used to maintain uploaded files. I know that files in my collectors account are still available for download.

This is just meant as an FYI for those who would like to still use rapidshare. The other methods described above are also excellent solutions for uploading to multiple file sharing networks.

It's only dead for people that do not register. Just register a free collectors account and it's back to same as usual.

Well, I am a free user, and I noticed that the other day too. I don't have the energy for game playing BS from a non essential storage site, so I have already nuked them off my bookmark bar and replaced it with mediafire I'll add that rapidspread on their too now, Thanks for the tip!

I dont think this will have much impact. There are just too many filesharing sites out there now and RS are getting better and better at deleting stuff too quickly. So it is better to go for the smaller file sharing sites as uploads are less likely to be deleted.

Maybe someone should think about a BHW private torrent tracker. Now that would work a dream. Stick a sharing ratio on it, min post requirments for access etc. Would keep it nice and clean.

With a arsenal of file sharing sites out there, it doesnt make a difference for BHW'ers anyway :P. Who knows someone over here might just open a file sharing site just to share our member specific downloads, like blackhatdownloads.com or something lol.
Anyways, but the information was worth to be known. Thanks Wizgizmo as always :)
