I'm thinking that the reason I keep messing up is because I keep jumping around reading a bunch of methods without fully grasping the formula used to succeed. I don't believe that anyone here was making $$$$ from day one with a serious plan from the get-go.

I'm too much of a jack-of-all-trades, but I want to be a master in at least 1 category while knowing enough to create a sustainable business.

Reading some of the best posts made me think about how these people who made it big already knew a thing or two about IM and didn't just blindly go into it; they kept pushing until it worked.

I love how some of these people make unique posts and content. I even want to learn about all those PBNs, VPS, web cloaking, botting tools, etc.

I'm especially curious about all those "beginner, intermediate, advanced" programs/packs, etc that people sell. It's all so intriguing and I want to absorb everything like a sponge and then market the crap out of it until I become a multi-millionaire.

I would appreciate suggestions on where to begin. Do I start learning SEO first? If so, which post would help me more? What are the steps needed? I really desire to succeed so much that I'm willing to study everything that is beneficial and then perhaps eventually stir up my severely lacking creative side of the brain and come up with a method that works best for me.

I have put my money making thoughts on the back-burner for now and want to focus on knowing how things work to best utilize them for when the time comes. Eventually, I will know them well enough to reach for the stars and beyond.

The better question would be: How did YOU do it?

If I'm going to be the best at what I do, then I want to learn from my predecessors.

You have too many eggs in too many baskets. Focus on one thing, and stick with it. Stop asking questions and start implementing.

I agree with Sherbs: you need to stop reading, pick one thing and just do it.

I have my hands in all the cookie jars right now but that's only because I started out doing one thing and just focused on that. Eventually my craft bled into SEO related stuff. For example, while writing content for a client he asked me if I could do keyword research for his Amazon websites and write content based on those keywords. He wanted low/no-competition.

    Guess what I did?

Got on this forum and read up on stuff. Asked the people I befriended here how to do real keyword research. Went back and charged my client an additional fee for keyword research plus the cost of the article.

Could I have pushed it off on someone else? Yes. But he wanted ME to do it, so I went out and learned how to do it.

I also learned how to do whiteboard marketing videos, write video sales letters and white papers...This is all because I started out with one thing and got really good at it. And because I was good at it my clients asked me to do more and more stuff for them. Now I'm a one-stop marketing shop for a lot of them.

TL;DR: Pick one thing. It's highly unlikely the thing you pick won't bleed into something else. Trust me on this. As far as marketing online is concerned, it's all connected.

Why don't you start a blog? While you're struggling to find the best way to make money online, you can describe your struggles and build some audience.
Morever, new thoughts come to your mind when you start writing.
