He might have shut the main website down so he'd get the funds back.
Don't quote me on that but I believe they will present this to the court once the hearing takes place (that their site has been closed).
It's a wise move if you need to get the financials sorted. He is not doing this to piss his customers off, there are other underlying issues why he did that.

They always go after the big fish.
There must be hundreds and thousands of websites sharing/selling GPL/nulled themes and plugins. No one's got that kinda resources to pursue them all. They just set a precedent for others doing the same.

How did they manage to locate your private information in the first place? Were you not running through an LLC? And if so, how did they find out the company data?

any further update Matt? I know I may sound selfish but I am one of those few who joined our vault because I couldn't afford to pay for all those themes and plugins that really help me grow my blogs. I am not even super rich to move on and get the subscriptions for all those themes and plugins which I have installed on my sites for almost couple of years now. those needs updates and i can't simply uninstall them. I wish you come out of this situation at earliest but yet I would like to know by when we can expect you to be back in business. I am sure, by December if you don't show up, I will be definitely going off the business as my sites are heavily dependent on plugins that needs updates.
I don't know if you've seen the latest update on the main website, but the vault should be back on between December 9th and December 13th. In the meantime, this forum is full of other threads with premium plugins so you should be able to find the latest versions for most of them by simply searching.

well I checked but there wasn't mentioned any date. maybe I missed that. on the other sources, i don't know how much I would trust them. had used one in past and got my site hacked. not taking chances anymore unless it's from trusted sources like festinger.

In the USA, corporations and LLCs are STATE entities.
You can have an anonymous LLC, but it is actually two (2) LLCs
One LLC owns the other LLC and both are created by a 3rd party organizer
And you can be a foreign non-citizen to do that
And ID is not needed to form them
But you DO need an ID/Passport if you need a USA bank account
If you could convince some poor person to allow you to pay for their passport and you use it HONESTLY
for your USA Corporation and you paid them something yearly , they would be your "nominee" director and
it would probably work as long as you were honest and did not try to hurt them
When you find your organizer for your Wyoming LLC, write them and ask them what ID is required
And always order their full package. LLC registration, registered agent, virtual office, phone, mail forwarding.
AND make sure THEY will file your yearly renewal paperwork so your secrecy will be maintained
And some of them will even setup the bank account if your ID is ready to share with them and you have an EIN
So :
1. Get your ID package ready
2. Register your LLC with virtual office and mail forwarding with an organizer that can do your bank account without you showing up
3. Download and fill out the IRS EIN tax number form. Put it in an envelope addressed to the IRS. Put it in another envelope and mail to your organizer and TELL THEM to send it to the IRS
DO NOT GET AN EIN ONLINE. A real company sends in the form and gets it that way.
4. You will receive your EIN tax number form sent to your virtual office. They can use it to open your account
5. Now you can get your bank account. Call the bank you chose and ask them what they need.
If you can't get a bank account without an in person visit, then just use Transferwise (Wise.com). They are KYC and are trusted worldwide.

Why are some of you so impatient as if your lives depend on Festinger. I'm sure he will be back whenever he gets everything sorted. It's definitely not easy for anyone that gets sued and especially when someone gets sued by such a large company.

listen men,i paid a lifetime membership and you cannot comment on my money as i am not doing on your money,mind your own business....we paid couple hundreds of dolars and we need the service,it not fair for something that we didnt use to pay and not to use...it our money and not yours....they are so many things he can do it without having any problems,new domain and new site and an ngo or patreon or something else on somebody else name....he can do so much more as we offer our help and knowledge instead of fundraising...just buy a server and a domain,transfer all the content and use bitcoin or others coins that cannot be trace

Hey, I totally get where you're coming from, and I completely understand your frustration!
If you really need reliability, it's best to pay the plugin developers directly.
I love having access to Festinger too, but let's be real - a business can't depend on this kind of service.
We pay for licenses for all our essential plugins, and just use Festinger for testing when cash is tight.
I'm frustrated too, believe me! But these things happen.
Festinger is probably even more worried than we are - it's their whole business on the line.
Think about it - what you paid is just a tiny fraction of the value you got, even if you only used it for a month.
Hang in there and look for alternatives while we wait this out.
If Festinger wanted to scam us, it would have been EXTREMELY easier to just disappear - it makes no sense to go through all this effort with the intention of dropping the project.
Also! You're absolutely right - nobody should comment on your money.
Those couple hundred bucks might mean a lot more to you than to someone else.
I totally get how hard it can be to fork out that kind of cash when your cashflow is tight.
It really sucks to pay and not have access to the service. I feel your pain, I really do.
It's a bummer, but the hard truth is, we're not owed anything here.
