Windows Laptop Or Mac ??

Sorry but what do you mean by machine? VPS or Mini PC? VPS will be costly on the long run, that's why I rely on VM.

I mean a dedicated computer/laptop just for your antidetect work. Since you don't want to install them on your personal machine.
If you decide to go this route then MAC is the best option for you and MAC profiles are your goal as well. So, 2 targets with 1 stone.

But if you're going towards VMs then don't think too much and go with Windows only.
I'm someone who ran like 4-5 VMs at the same time and did automation on them. MAC is good but remove the battery life and I will not even look towards it.

It really comes down to what you want. If you want to nly be able to run the few Mac only software I would say to stick with Mac but if you want to run every software, don't get a Mac then ask every software developer why they don't support Mac, after you have already purchased.

If you want a Mac, get a Mac. If you want a computer that won't discriminate get a Windows PC. Or get the Mac and pay for a Windows VPS to do your work on with uncomfortable levels of lag.

I’d recommend using a Mac. I’ve never needed to boot up my Windows partition. I use Linux for development servers and environments.

A few years ago, Mac would have been hands down a no brainer. However Intel has come out with hybrid chips, and AMD has some on the way if not already. There's also an ARM based Windows Laptop now. You really need to look at the different offerings and see how they compare for the type of workflow you do.

Umm so which software framework isn’t supported on mac? I guess windows only ones? But web and multi platform ones, the dx is actually 100 times better on a mac. Been on both the sides for long enough. ;)

Are you pretending to be unaware of the existence of Windows only software?

It is why every year is the year of Linux without any year ever truly being the year of Linux. I love linux for what it is but it will never be for the mainstream user and Mac will never be for people that want to use Windows software.

Yeah I mean the performance per watt is insane in the new macs. No wonder it is a battery champ.

Macbook air should do too if he doesn't have intense workload. The only thing I would worry about with intense workload is the fact that the lower end mac use a lot of swap memory when the RAM is not enough. This destroys the SSDs sooner, and they are soldered to the board so ( some crazy person actually managed to replace the SSDs, but I am sure 99% repair centers won't have an idea how to do it).. :D
Yeah I heard this a lot, everyone said if you're doing really intense things you should get a pro. I stuck with an air and increased ram and it's a beast. I do music production, video editing, figma, everything at the same time and I never noticed any lags like I did on windows. Unless you're doing 3D or editing feature films the Air will be fine.

I've used both for a few years, so buy Windows, Mac isn't too useful if you're not a designer or coder. Thin and light and similar to Mac, you can look at HP

Maybe look into a MacBook Pro . Running a Windows VM on a Mac should work, but not sure about the Pixelscan test. Anyone else tried this setup?

Yes you wouldn’t notice any lag atall even with 8Gigs of ram. I have another mac mini m1 which has 8G ram. It works like black magic lol. The mac mini has survived for 2+ yrs so I guess it will continue to serve me well. I use docker, figma, vs code etc. What I try to do to save the ssd in that mac mini is keeping the least amount of programs open at a time (you can’t keep it minimised, it has to be closed properly). I guess that will prolong the ssd life a little.

Do macbooks run into screen problems? Like screen flickering or vertical or horizontal lines on the screen?
I've been using windows laptops for over a decade and each one of them runs into screen issues sooner or later. Tried different companies, still the same. I wonder if they are all using poor quality screens on their laptop.

None atall. Never faced anything as such.

I have seen some people on Reddit complaining about this though. If the product was not damaged by the customer, I am pretty confident apple will change the macbook for you.

I definitely gotta do this more

Have 2 apple products (1 with M2 chip and 1 with M1 chip) 8GB variants and they both suck!!
Don't spread this false rumor that 8GB base ram variant is good enough. Even apple used to say that but now even they agree that 8GB variant isn't good enough because their new stuff can't work on 8GB variants.

A gap/glitch/freeze happens if you're a power user and you'll be able to notice those. Then come updates and more of those will start showing up. Base 8GB variant is just a trap and nothing else. If you're just going to do some assignments or watching movies then it's more than enough.

The only good thing macbook have is battery life. They're superb when it comes to battery life.

I travel a lot and I'm a power user, I use a lot of powerful software and run my laptops really hard. I was a longtime windows user then I got 24GB MacBook M2 Air. Was the best decision, I swear.

Battery lasts 2 days on one charge. It's shocking how light this thing is. Everything is snappy, windows always lagged for me. Mac just works and feels amazing to use.

Go with Mac dude you won't regret it
Does it run games as well?

That's not the case with my usage atall. I don't know what you are using to get the lag. Also, you have mac mini or a macbook? Heck I even have the 256G variant which is the cheapest apple computer in the market. Yeah it definitely isn't as fast as the macbook pro, but definitely more than usable.
