Microsoft has release the windows 10 technical preview. It is available for download at:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview

The 32 bit version is 3.2 Gigs, and the 64 bit version is 4.1 gigs.

A windows Live or hotmail account is required to register for the Windows Insider program.

    Suggest VM install.

    Enjoy

You missed Windows 2000. If it's added in the list then Windows 10 becomes good lol :)

Can't say I'm a fan of 8 after fannying around with it a fair bit in John Lewis. It just felt alien that the start button and menu was gone and replaced by a shitty tile system.
I'll be downloading the preview and firing it into vmware to see what it's like. Oh, and I've heard that the reason why the skipped the name of Windows 9 due to coding reasons with legacy programs and the old 95/98 code. I don't know how much of that is total BS but it's a reason I suppose.

    windows 98
    windows 2000
    windows 2000 pro
    windows 2000 server
    windows 7

all i can recommend, and to be honest because of the way windows has been built, registry platform and virus/mail where gun shot any version you get, better have a disc warning and plenty patients ...

i love windows ,the look of it and all that, but when it comes to reliability, because of others throwing mail were and virus at us, it a joke reloading windows using the advance mmc get me down........

I have times where i have been programming for hours all night, to just go home early the next day from collages, and believe it or not, gone to a page to read a article, the dam page has give me a virus or a silly download ,with popups all over and browser harassment, kill OMIGA or isearch browser scam.

windows 98 was and stilll is the most stable version of windows....

Or you could step off the Microsoft rollercoaster and board the smooth ride that is Linux. ;)
