Window Server 2008 Localhost not working

I installed XAMPP & WAMPP, both i start and they are starting fine, apache started , so do wampp.

I type http://localhost or http://localhost:88 (both can't work) even if i start them independently(xampp or wampp) , but the result was it was STARTED.

ITs been all fine till a server crash earlier on due to PSU or something which the server team of mine replaced.

I will pay $20 USD to whoever can fix for me within the shortest time, means getting http://localhost:88 working (xampp).

ONLY PM ME IF u are confident

    Payment: PAYPAL

    Thanks

    hi,
    its port 80, not 88.
Did you look in the firewall for all neccessery ports to open?
Windows Server 2008 have from first install all closed due security reasons.

    c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

open it up with notepad or similar (NOT WORD!).
Check if you have entry "127.0.0.1 localhost" inside
If you don't have it then add the line below at the bottom. Save. Restart your browser.

    Code:
    127.0.0.1 localhost
