Ya they run raffles like this all the time but the tickets usually cost around $100 - $200 depending on the number of tickets available. You would need a pretty good lawyer if you were going to try and run a scam like that

The tickets are £25 each and once they reach a limit they do the raffle. If they do reach it they raffle the cash. They make money as the raffle makes more that the house is worth.

The house is donated by a new home builder.

Many times the company that built the home raffles it. That way their costs are lower and it is easier to make your money back. A lot of times the money will go to a charity so they can get donations and sponsors to help pay for everything etc. It takes a lot of work but the tickets sell because it is worth a shot at a new house. Sometimes there is an agreement that you have to own the house for one year before you sell it.

***edit...sorry dating101...i was writing at the same time you were ;)

You could make money off of this if you write in the TOS that you will only start the raffle after x amount of people join. Make it a number that would be hard to reach, I mean most average people wouldn't even read the TOS.

Hmm yeah you could make a TOS or just don't accept money for the tickets. You get the VISIT! who knows they could click another add.

Hahha or you could include a page that says SORRY OUR PAYMENT SYSTEM IS DOWN PLEASE TRY ONE another (aka any advertisement)
