Will youtube see where the trafic comes from if the video is embedded on the website

If the video is embedded on the web site and you use traffic exchange sites, can youtube see where this trafic comes from ? They sure can if you use traffic exchange sites directly, simply adding the link. Will embedding make any difference ?

It is to my knowledge that if a video auto-plays you will not get any views counted this way on your youtube video..
