Will you Create a New Website for This Project?

Hi,

Found an easy niche and already 50 articles with low KD and traffic > 200
I can setup the website in one day, and already bought a fresh domain name
2 best competitiors having 300k visits/months (very old websites with 200/300 pages)

But

I'm launching already 2 fresh websites so it's not my priority and I'm lazy to wait months to see first sign trafic / do link buiding

Because

I've already a website in kind of the same niche. For example: old site is specific about lions and new site will be one page for every cat breed.
Website who's indexing fast and with trafic increasing month after month. 2 years old.

So

I'm thinking about creating a new sub-categorie in my old website and see what happens. And if needed later, I can redirect this subcat to another domain name.
New website have better potential (300k) in term of visit than old site (50k)

It is a mistake ?

Does your question pertain to whether you should do it as a new site or have it on your present site?

Do I add the content in one of my existing website who's quite related to my new niche.

Or just create a new one.

Your old site will have more authority. Only do it as a new site if you think it will be substantially dissimilar to the old site.

Some websites are mixing this 2 type of content. Other ones (best trafic) not.

If I had more time, I'll do a new website for sure. So maybe I should just start this project in few months instead to do it "quickly".

If it's somehow related, you can go for it on your existing site. Honestly it's hard to tell without knowing the exact stuff.

I would write articles on the old website and redirect those articles to the new website as soon as those articles on the new site get position and traffic. This would allow you to get through SandBox quickly.

Too beautiful niche to say it, even if the cpm should be low imo.

But my example is quite similar : old site is specific about lions and new site will be one page for every cat breed.

Yes. We launch a lot of affiliate sites, and when we launch new sites on new domains, we first write articles on our other sites and then redirect those articles to the new sites and this allows us to get a quick start on the new domains. Traffic is a ranking factor, it quickly lets google know that your new site is not doorway.

We do not write many articles on the old site, because even if we have 50-100 visitors on 2-3 articles it is already enough to fire up the new site with redirects. The rest of the articles we write on the new site.

Example, on April 8 we moved an article from the old site and that article quickly got traffic and clicks on the new site

The new site had articles, but almost no movement for 9 months. After redirect, they also increased. (Here you can see the growth in impressions for all the articles that were on the site, I excluded the article that was redirected)

If I were you, I'd put up a new website.

Unless your existing website is very closely related to the easy niche you're thinking of dominating, I would set up a standalone site.

You have to understand that your competitors have been around for a much longer time.

And even though you already have an idea of how to write articles using lower-difficulty keywords, the prospect for some sort of crawling contextual confusion can be quite high.

I would go with a standalone project, and it's fairly easy to set up a website with a few mouse clicks and keystrokes.

I don't expect you to spend more than a few hours setting a standalone site up.

Do both. Add content on old website and also start a new website. You will earn from both.
