I created a post on my page, CPA offer linked to Amazon..
    1. I lied and said less than 100 copy available
    2. I'm bidding it for post engagement, not as an offer or link

am I violating a rule that will get me. Banned?

I was actually curious about this: Is it against FB TOS or Amazon TOS or both?

Cloaking is against Amazon TOS. They will ban the affiliate at the time of payment for this violation.

@Cahington - AFAIK, this is against Amazon TOS. Please go through the TOS again - There is no wording against artificial scarcity but there is
definitely something against misleading sales tactics.

What i meat by cloaking here is cloacking cpa links .
At the end he is promoting cpa offers that would be redirected to amazon so if he cloacks cpa links the traffic will be first redirected to cpa links and then to amazon .
SO i'm not sure if that could be a reason because we aren't cloaking amazon links and the traffic will be from cpa links which will have the source of traffic not the amazon.
I could be wrong but i would love to know this as i haven't tried this with amazon.

You only spent a few dollars and that's not enough data to cut ads. I would suggest setting aside xxx budget so you can use that to test ads. Bare in mind, that you will not profit during this phase. You gotta collect data first, use a tracker to eliminate ads that are in the negative and continue to repeat this step. At the end, you should find a winning ad. You should then create a separate campaign for this. Hope this helps.

I am agree with paper-boy suggestion. FB ads are not easy to use for sales. First do some research and spend some money.
