Same also happened to me some time ago.

The reputation system should only allow positive reps.
I think the only use it has at the moment is abuse.
The change that only JrVip is allowed to give negative reps did not make it better.
Most JrVips are just people who joined earlier than others and recevied it for free, it does not really mean anything else.

I would just like to know their motive. If I have an issue with someone
I take it to their face in the thread. If I knew who it was I would ask

It doesn't matter. People treat things subjective and are entitled to their own opinions. Just drop this whole case, since it's not going to put any additional dollars in your pocket. Not even sure why a whole thread needs to be dedicated to this.

Same here, this happened to me last month. You are right it is just a rep at the end of the day.. but then again who really de-reps someone in the first place..???

I could definitely see Oxonbeef's point. It's not so much the rep points it the principle of the thing. It could be a misunderstanding or a legit reason, either way if this was me I would want to know. If it's correctable or not and then move on.
At the end of the day I'm pretty sure Oxon care's about his bottom line more than reps..

Yeah, someone De-Repped me a few days ago saying that i was intagonizing a spammer on here,because the guy was talking about a method that i had tried and it worked very very well, and one of them said it was spam, in fact, its not, and it actually makes more than most of the people that posted on that thread. lame how it worked out, but i geuss i have to chalk it up as a lose .
