I recently found out that an autoblogger has taken my feeds from my personal blog. I'm find with it because the blog in question isn't one of my serious blogs. I simply like to know if this would either help, hurt or do nothing to my blog?

    Thanks:pcguru:

if they link back to you then it helps but if they dont link then they can become the superior blog and get you kicked off the SE

If you can, block 'em. Even better, find a way to put "special" content in the feed for just that guy :)

Well, s/he is linking back so there is no problem. I'll wait awhile to see if anything strange happens before blocking her/him.

    Thanks.

As they are linking you will be ok as you are recognised as the owner of the content

Google says if sites use your content try to get them to link back to your to increase your pagerank. Google uses the pagerank to calculate who should get the credit for the content but I have never seen proof that the link itself is enough for Google to determine the owner of the content. If the other blog has a lower pagerank than yours then you should be okay

If you are worried then block the feed or use Google's DCMA copyright infringement form

Yeah put a link back to your blog. It may also be worthwhile putting a bio line at the bottom of your posts for a whilem just in case the autoblog gets any traffic. Hopefully then they'll see you as the original source and surf over to your blog!

You can just interconect your blogs article to each other in an uncluttered way. This method will help you pass your link juice of an article page to the other pages in your blog.It also helps to increase your PR who have copied your article and posted on their blog. And ultimately you will escape the duplicate content penalty imposed by Google.

I know that SEOElite which can be found on this forum works well for checking all backlinks and whether or not they have been sandboxed by google. Obviously you need to remove all links from a sandboxed site I believe.
