The title pretty much says it all, will posting an article about CBD oil potentially raise a flag for google (also getting backlinks for CBD to the site)?
Will posting a CBD article to a health focused blog hurt SEO?

thanks im concerned it will "flag" the site in some way, basically like adding a porn related article to an otherwise non porn related site, I would image it throws up red flags for the algo.

If it doesn't fit then, yes.
Make it a mixture of topics. 80% current, 20% CBD.
The worst thing that will most likely happen is that it will not perform well in SEPRs.

health niche is related. besided, cbd niche is over spammed and backlink mechanic is another from standart

If you're writing helpful content, then it's fine. If you have thousands of articles, then also it could fit in. If you're just trying to sell CBD products, by building backlinks to that specific page, then it could be a problem. It's like a tiny hole to a huge ship.

But the name of the game is niche specificity.
So if you are posting a CBD article on a blog that talks a lot about anxiety, depression, epilepsy, and a whole list of other health conditions that CBD is often linked to, you should be okay.
But if you are posting it on a blog that bills itself as a health blog but talks about everything under the sun, you might be in trouble.
Unfortunately, when it comes to paid link building, there are a lot of those websites; many PBNs actually feature many different topics that may not be on point.
So a little bit of research ahead of time and insistence on niche specificity can go a long way in helping you get the SEO benefits you are working for.
