Will NFTs be relevant again in the next 2025 crypto bull-run? Huge comeback coming?

This is one of my main personal doubts about crypto. I was reading people two or three weeks ago saying that Bitcoin would sink and go back to $60k or lower, which doesn't make any sense at all. The recent pump was an obvious move if you are following the whole market, not only crypto.

It's basically a fact that in the coming months we will see some huge positive moves on crypto, but what about NFTs? Are they dead or are they going to revive during this euphoria moment? Not sure, I think there are some multibillionaie artists, projects and brands involved in it and they invested hard on NFTs during the last few years, the reputation is currently bad and it's hard to imagine a comeback, but it's totally feasible if they really want to.

In my personal opinion, the ''new'' NFT will be training AIs, it could attract massive amounts of retail and average people to crypto. Also, there are memecoins, in the last bull-run they were there too, but it's now much more spread. But it doesn't necessarily means that NFT is dead...what is your opinion? Will it be relevant again or it completely died in 2021?

If the hype returns with the next bull run, NFTs could definitely see a big comeback. Exciting times ahead!

Honestly, I feel like we’re past the monkey jpegs going for millions of USD. But that being said, memecoin hype cam back like never before, so who knows - NFTs might do the same.

It depends on the whims of the populus. I'd say it should be unlikely, but I wouldn't put it past the internet. Crowds and markets sometimes do really dumb things.

nfts are not creating new "big clubs" on a daily/weekly basis anymore. why would one purchase an nft instead of a fungible token. the media embedded into nft is only a symbol. yes people can stil gather communities around nfts, but the utility even with ai is not clear yet still. usual fungible tokens can be utilized for ai oriented projects as well. nfts have no valuable multiple mechanics (unfortunately) that could go mainstream and copied by other projects. even for gaming industry. there are people who r trying to solve these issues, but so far nothing was reinvented in a way consumer/gambler would be excited about. hopefully there will be times for nfts again, probably as a part/detail for some crypto infrastructure

I think NFTs found their spot in the crypto space. They're like digital art pieces, and they also tokenize unique stuff like game items and real-world assets where you need that one-of-a-kind thing (land, property, etc.).

But NFTs will never go full meme coin. They'll stay a niche tool.

Nothing of that sort is going to happen. When trust is gone, it is gone forever. Now most nft users have understood that nft was based only on hype and there was no real value attached to it.

NFT and meme coins shares the same fate. It's important not to take them too seriously when it comes to investing!

I heard from a little birdie who way too invested in NFTs that the hype is coming back in 2025
but then again, they did say 2024 too...
NFT will make waves, and people will fall for it
so in a way, i guess so?

It's possible, but I think memecoin hype will be bigger. NFT is burned, but people are stupid enough to give it a second chance to lose more money

Back in ‘21 it was all about NFTs and the Metaverse, I feel like this cycle the majority of liquidity is being pumped into either BTC or random memecoins.

NFTs are having a chance for a comeback only if they combine somehow with something that is on hype.
Real use cases, regulations, more accessibility — it's all BS. According to the modern economy, it should be stupid af, and the more degenerate it looks, the more likely it will be picked up by some "giga-brain", who will position it like "guys, look how dumb it is, there is no chance that someone will buy it. that's why you should buy it right NOW!"

NFTs are actually coming back, if you're active on X every day, check out Sr Manzano, Ludes, cryptoUFOs etc.

Well, who knows whether they will still be active after 25 years, but there are chances that there will be much newer things other than NFT so that it will be relevant at that time, which would be a tough question.
