Well assuming the VPS is a distributed network and the software doesn't crash it could run a full year. But keep in mind it doesn't take much of a memory leak to crash a program over a FULL YEAR.

Yes of course. Windows vps can keep going 24/7. Power up servers are very reliable as well.

With Windows you do need to reboot periodically. My Windows servers tend to be up for months at most (compared to Linux servers that can be online (without reboot) for years).

But the simple answer is yes.

Yes, normally you can run it 24/7. But Windows periodically restarts for updates, you can turn that off. Also consider your provider's TAT.

Yes. Windows VPS offers everything you may need including multiple domains hosting, multiple databases, run 24/7 . I am running MassPlanner on a Windows VPS. Everything is fine.

    actually i have another question

    if i pay for a windows vps, i need usd45 a month, means usd540 a year

i can actually buy another computer with that money, why i shouldnt buy a new computer and have it switched on whole day and let it run?

any other things that i am missing in this consideration?

looking at poweruphosting, seems many ppl recommend this in bhw.

    • $45

      • 3 CPU
      • 30GB SSD Space
      • 3GB DDR3 Dedicated RAM
      • Unmetered Bandwidth
i plan to run it 24/7, as i just use massplanner and i have bought proxies, thinking i can get more with USD540 compare to above stats.

For many of us buying a PC and running it 24/7 at home is not practical or cost effective. Specially because electricity and bandwidth. Also not many get 100MBps or 1GBps internet speed.

Now about first question, technically a vps should run continuously 24/7. But in reality it doesn't happen like that. So you have to do routine checkups to see if your vps up and running. Shut downs, crashes, freezes and restarts happen.

someone else in your sever might mess something up and provider might need to restart the server. Budget providers not always remind these to their clients. So unless MassPlanner auto starts you will need to restart the bot too.

Also so many things could go wrong in your own vps. Like bot might crash or freeze, OS might crash or freeze, OS updates might happen etc.

First of all i recommend you to use Massplanner on your OWN PC for a day or two at least.

With full throttle you are going to use then monitor your CPU and RAM consumption spikes graphs.

And then see what is more consuming then according to that data get your VPS choice.

Because not all Windows programs are 100% optimized.

Hopefully this will help it's my view :)

    No.
He is saying you should run Massplanner on your own computer for 1 or 2 days and monitor the RAM and CPU usage.
Then you should compare it, and pick your VPS or your Computer
