Hello everyone this is my very first post at BHW and yes I am asking for your opinion. I realize that I haven?t given anything back to this forum yet and it has given me so much more insight into the world of IM than months of searching on the internet for ?how to make money online? ever has.

I?ve tried my luck at a few things like youtube and clickbank, buying bunch of fiverr stuff and trying to rank my videos through that. What a waste! I only made one sale probably more than a month ago and spend way too much money. (I obviously didn?t know what I was doing)

I?m at the point of planning very thoroughly and trying to implement a solid plan to make sales through clickbank. So now I decided to take a very big chance and ask you guys for your HONEST opinion on my plans.
I do not expect much, as I have not given much. I know and accept that, but any insight from you guys might help me start making money and be able to quit my amazingly boring desk job the forces me to create S#$T in excel all day (lol) and I have a damn Business Degree!

Make money with clickbank (my plans)
I have start with writing a few articles but it?s taking way too long given my time constraints.
I will follow an seo guide I found on BHW that focus on creating a lot of unique content and linking everything back to your money site/review site. Furthermore I will be doing social marketing, creating squidoo lenses, web 2.0 links. I know a few basic things about SEO and this guide seemed legit.
Here is the name: search-engine-optimization-blueprint-2012-complete-guide-ranking-website-google (I can't paste links yet)

Furthermore I am very interested in buying:
    -SB bomber for social bookmarking.

-Answer swipe for yahoo answers ? I think there is a lot of potential in yahoo answers for quality traffic. I would answer as much questions relating to my review site/product and hopefully not get banned. (I could even try and promote some cpa offers on the side)

-Sublime twitter bot ? I was thinking of basically doing the whole scrape followers, follow a lot of followers, promote your website link through search and reply ect. Although at this moment I am sceptic about buying Sublime as I downloaded the trial version last night and it bombed while trying to do a search and reply (could be my PC?s fault, I don?t know?).

    My total plan:
-Create a legit .com website which I will continuously use through sub domains to create review sites example: review1.mysite.com, review2.mysite.com ect.
-Do a lot of seo stuff based on the guide in an attempt to get good rankings in google search and get a steady flow of organic traffic.
-Social bookmarking, yahoo answers, maybe twitter spamming to the max every day to gain backlinks and visitors.

    Conclusion: How I see it
Making money online for me is a risk, I have some money to fund this venture of mine but obviously wouldn?t like wasting it. Please don?t laugh, I know you?ve probably heard this a lot, but I am actually trying to build a career in IM for myself. I live in South Africa and if I could make only $100 per day I would be very happy. I could even settle for $50 per day for now. That would be enough for me to quit my job. Please don?t tell me NOT to quit my job for IM. I want to work for myself, it has always been a big dream of mine and until I figure out a legit offline business idea IM is the closest to my own business.
Please if possible at all give me some advice on my plans and ideas. DON?T HESITATE to tell me if I am stupid or just wasting my time.

Although I haven?t made it yet in IM, I still believe it is possible. I hope and believe I can achieve my goals if I have a good plan to follow. I really do?

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Answer yourself two questions how long are you able to work without income ?You know getting good ranks takes some time and expacially for somebody just starting.Maybe you should focus on something which brings instantly money to cover your costs and start from there.Loosing your money can be quick and the question is are you able to loose your money and stand up again ?

OP I'm going to help you out here by giving you some honest feedback that may sting a little, but that's only because you have a lot more learning to do before you head down this road.

Making excuses will get you nowhere. Outsource this if you can afford it, if not... well you'd better start writing!

Following a "SEO guide" that preaches what you stated is basically suicide. You would be a lot better off using that content on the money site / review site to draw in traffic. Building links with articles? This isn't 2007 any more, my friend.

Squidoo lenses and web 2.0 links? Again... you're wasting your time here - especially if you are doing this yourself. Don't bother doing this and if you ignore that advice (which you will): outsource it!!

What you basically just said is that you plan on building a house, and you want to run out and buy a bandsaw, dremel tool, router, nail gun and belt sander without having any idea about how to use any of these tools or any experience building houses.

My suggestion: learn how to build a full website from start to finish - whether that's purchasing the hosting, theme, installing WP, etc. yourself, or learn how to outsource all of this stuff if you have the capital to do so.

I see. So you're thinking of something like http://www.topfiveawards.com? Well, even though this idea has been beaten to death a number of times I'm sure you can take a crack at it as a learning experience.

I would focus on building out the design and all of the content first before you even bother with following a SEO guide that you found though. Learn what brings traffic in to review sites by checking out your competition, and then replicate it.

    Good luck!

Thanks again to both Tangy and Unknownn. You both make valid points! Tangy you are making me sound like a total noob! Damn and the worst thing is I probably am one, haha!

Obviously I still have a lot to learn from seo, review sites and on and on and on...

I was skeptic about outsourcing because I thought that I would assure the content of my articles would be unique if I wrote them myself. Again, as with my lack of experience, I thought that writing keyword rich unique content was very important.
I have created a few websites before, nothing special and even ranked one on the first page of google for a while for some keywords.

I will without a doubt keep your advice in mind as I venture on.

Are there any content / good "reads" either of you would recommend?

    Peace!
