    Hello BHW,

In the last month, I've made a little more than €300 through Fiverr. One third of the money is already in my PayPal. The problem here is that the PayPal account is of my dad, and he doesn't want to transfer the money to his bank account. Because he thinks it isn't "right". So I'm thinking of setting up my own PayPal account, but I'm 16. I basically want to add my own bank account to the PayPall I'll make. I'll transfer the €100 of his account to mine, and will then transfer it to my bank account. But will this work? Will my PayPal get suspended? Thanks in advance!

Bonus question: I live in the Netherlands, and I'm not planning to pay taxes on it. Will I get in trouble for this?

I'm pretty sure the limit is between $600 - $700, then they ask for ID verification. I'd stick below 600 and you're all good. If you're not trying to withdraw funds just make several accounts. I have multiple and I just keep 4-5 Hundo in each for business expenses etc

I dont think so. If you recieve money and your PayPal is not verified, they will ask for ID. And since you are 16 I dont think you can do that. But you can read threads and open a stealth account, that would help you.

Your dad is wrong about it and you'd better tell him. Does your dad have concerns about those money being made illegally? If in fact that is not the case and you receive money for work you've done I'd try to explain him how you did it and possibly show some proofs. It may be hard with elder people but still possible if you try.
Few people under 18 I know make their own income and nowadays it becomes common to see even 20 years old guy charged by parents, so your dad should be rather happy that you already make amounts not every mature person can manage.

Since you're 16 I have no idea how can you have your own bank account.

Moving money that way between brand new accounts is risky but I don't think it'll get you in trouble. If you by chance create legit account in your own name it is safe because what you do is solid (your dad transfers you money as family and friend and it will be one of the few times this feature will work for what it was intended :)).

I can tell you from experience that if you just confirm your bank account there will be no problem at all

Pretty sure(unless they have changed it in recent years) the amount that you can withdraw in a YEAR before you are asked for ID verification is about $2500. Many years ago when I got asked to verify my ID I was asked when I was at about 1800€ and then it was mentioned that they ask earlier, so you have enough time to provide the necessary documents before you reach the 2500€($ for USA).

Generally sending money and withdrawing shouldn't be an issue. Since you are using your dad's PP you can even send it as Friends and Family and PP can't say anything about it because you are a family after all(not that they can say anything if you aren't :)). The only thing that you might have to worry about is your age, but if you can create a bank account in your country with a debit/credit card I don't think PP would care how old you are.

Tell your dad to help a brother out, show him fiverr, show him how you've been earning money. Explain to him that it is legit, but you are to young to earn money by their standards. Congrats on your earnings.
