    Hello BHW,

I am going to transfer my wp site to another hosting. Will it Affect my SEO/ Ranking? If, how to avoid this?

What is the easy process to transfer without changing any single data?

But I am not going to change hosting provider, just will change the hosting plan. Now I am using GoDaddy WP Managed single site hosting (expiring soon). I also need another hosting so I will buy the Unlimited Package. That's why, I have to transfer there.

    Suggest me please...

    Thanks.

It won't affect SEO. I use WP Twin (it's a Wordpress cloning plugin that I bought years ago). There are alot of cheaper cloning plugins availabe now, probably even some free ones. It's not even that difficult doing it the manual way (exporting the database etc.) - just Google how to transfer a Wordpress site to new hosting or something like that. There are lots of articles and Youtube videos explaining how.

Just ensure everything stays the same. If anything stuffs up during the migration be sure to rectify it before your site gets crawled!

Most beginners are afraid to switch hosts.
Why? because it requires technical knowledge to move a website without any downtime.

Agreed on all fronts. I have used the plugin referenced, and I have moved literally hundreds of blogs across servers of all types. There are some things that are critical to get right when migrating to a new server or host, but I learned how to do these migrations by using Google as well, so I can confirm the information is out there. The process overall is not that hard even manually as danno said. You just gotta make sure you back up the database correctly, and keep the file directory structure in-tact. Then you upload the files. Import the database. Correct a few minor outstanding issues via phpmyadmin and/or a file manager. And finally make sure your DNS settings are corrected at your registrar.

But Google it for sure because you do have to do each step absolutely correctly.

It won't affect your SEO, just make sure the new hosting support guys keep the URL structure same.
Or else, the old site would react as 404

No, I have been frequently moving my wordpress sites with no fluctuation in rankings. However you have you make sure your new hosting servers are not slow, it will affect your serps in general but not massive change. It's kinda straight forward, just duplicated the contents, export and replace the database url, then change the nameserver pointing the the new host.
