Will Index Backlinks Help The Pages The Index Links To?

Lets use Mysite.com for example. So if I build 20,000 backlinks to Mysite.com, and if Mysite.com has a left navigation bar that has 10 pages linking to articles. Will those 10 pages benefit from backlinks to Mysite.com? Will it improve the rankings on Google for those 10 pages?
