    Hello fellow BHW's,

Question: Will i make money on a highly competive keyword, that has high paying cpc keywords?

Say i find an available niche in cancer, but since someone already has that domain, i instead use a longtail keyword, along with proper seo into the pages, install wordpress, give great content, update, insert nice graphix, interesting articles, etc.

Now my question is, since this has been saturated, meaning there's ton's of cancer like webpages thru out the net, will i stand a chance and make money with this niche?

Or again is this a saturated market, and would it be better if i research other niches?

I would like to do this because cancer ppc on adsense pay good money.

    Any advice?

This question is like asking: "Will I make money where little money is to be made?"

Yes you can make money, but not as much as if it was a niche. Also, Cancer can't be considered a niche anymore if it's highly populated with websites/traffic.

If there is money being made in the market, than you can make money in it as long as you know what your doing and how to game it.

Also, if it's a hyper-competitive market, be prepared for some sleepless nights working your ass off.

If you have some money to burn, I would definitely outsource so that you can get into the market much faster and see results much faster.

If you don't have a lot of money to burn, I would recommend going after a different market or a smaller sub-market within your chosen target market.

Just make sure there is money to made in it.

Quick question, are you planning on monetizing with Adsense?

a highly competitive market just means that it is a successful market. If you couldn't make money in it then it wouldn't be saturated. you just need to gain an edge over some of the competition.

For saturated niche, u need to think creatively or work harder than someone else. For not saturated niche, u may be ok just do what others doing. IMO

Use https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal to find out how much per click is being spent on the keyword for the term, i.e cancer. Also google the term and count how many adwords ads you find. The higher the cpc and adword count the bigger the reward for dominating said market.

    Hey all,

Thanks for the tips, question, can i make money with adsense if i do find a way to make this work? Or in your experience is it better with cpa or cpm? Maybe filling out forms using cpa?

And lastly any tips on how i can bring people to the (highly competitive) site?

    thx

It depends on your keyword selection. If you have buying keywords such as donate, review, buy. (Donate cos of cancer charities) then adsense will be good. You will always want to split test adsense, cpa, and cpm as you need to know your market inside out to make the most profit. Also it depends on how much people are paying per click on your keywords.

You still can make money in a super saturate niche. Not easy but you can if you come with something new, something original and some good methods to advertise it. There`s always place for everybody ! :)

    Cancer is too generic keyword.
maybe ppl are looking for cancer articles , cancer cure , cause of cancer etc , u shud be specific abt what u want to put in your website.

darkman is right "cancer" itself is too generic of a keyword. You need to explore the specialized or sub niches of cancer. Actually just quickly researching Google I found hundreds of sub niches of cancer. These should all pay very well for Google Adsense if that is the way you want to go.

I would put a report together and give it away to continually build a nice email list. Remember, if you provide good content and build your own list no market is ever too competitive. You have a relationship with a list that will give you a distinct advantage especially with health related issues.
