I was recently terminated by a network for sending myspace traffic(700 uniques over a 3 day period). The network said they would accept the traffic, however, myspace complained and gave them my details, which are real cuz I wanted to be paid of course. Maybe not the best idea... I think we are talking about 10k messages being sent over a 3 day period in myspace. The letter to the network states: "please retain any information on this affliate as we may take legal action".

The volume sent seems to be low, and I mand close to nothing off the campaigns. So, has this happened to anyone? Is it just a form letter? What are the chances that they will really come after me? The messages were sent from outside the US. I don't have $230 million dollars currently. Should I go into hiding? lol. A little help here. Thanks

your suppose to hide it so it was not traceable. I have never heard of anyone getting sue over this so its more likely nothing will happen. You might just get banned from the network.

You'll probably cop a ban and that's it.

In order to sue you it will cost them money and I'm sure that their are people spamming over 10k messages every 3 days that they'd want to go after. Don't worry about it too much, get back to something a little less dangerous if you're worried.
