    You can own and operate the domain legally as long as you do not put any content that is related to the original trademarked registered domain.

    If you try to put content which is related to the original domain you will just give them a reason more to try to takeover your domain on court, otherwise it would be a hassle for any company to start the procedure to take your domain, and would rather settle with you.

    This should have answered you " "NextWiki" is a registered trademark of NextEngine, Inc " from the outset.

    @virtualpurity
    i think the original trademark is 3d laser printer related.

    @MisterF
    yeap, some concern about even if i develop the .org site with content not related to the original trademark as @virtualpurity mention, it might bite me in the end if the site starting to get index or notice in google etc..

    my other choice would be 301 the domain to other domain name, maybe get some value from the nextwiki dot org link juice.

    ok, definately will get me into trouble, just check the domain creation date was 2012 and the trademark had been filed in 2006. if this subject pop out on legal, i'll be the one on disadvantage.

    thanks everyone for the input.

    Remove the ads ASAP or it'll be impossible to save domain in case of UDRP.

    You can operate in any industry other than the industry of original trademark holder BUT you can NEVER show dynamic ads on it or you'll lose the name easily if they catch you.
