Well, I am going to finish writing an e-book to help some health-problems.

I, myself, used to have it but I manage to cure it myself successfully after lots of research and self-created techniques. I have a blog that used to give a FEW free tips and many people have thanked me and wrote actual testimonials. Thus, I'm writing an e-book with more tips to sell it.

My e-book is roughly 40% completed and it's only 33-pages! It's still single-lined spaced. My book is straight to the point - no bullshit or crap. I believe it will be around 75-pages or so.

I'm going to create some mp3 instructional files too.

I thought of charging $54.95 as a introductory offer. Planning to give 67% commission to affiliates.

But am I be charging too much?

prolly not, i dont think that is a high price. In fact with mp3s you could prolly charge more...

It would also depend on what this cure is for i imagine.

It seems like you dont really want to give away what health problem this is only because you didnt mention it!!! lol

But yer maybe tell us the health problem and then maybe that could make a difference in the price.

I mean if you have found a cure for cancer $54.95 is WAY under priced lol!

LoL. I don't really wish to disclose it yet..

But I've seen a few competitors charging from $70-$120.

My introductory price stands at $54.95. I believe it will be a good seller since I have been giving free tips and have quite a number of good testimonials.

I thought of charging a full price of $74.95 a month later or something.

If anyone is interested in becoming an affiliate, do stay tune!

Why don't you test it and see? You should always test your price point IMO

you should release a product curriculum not a single product. what i mean by this is ok cool. people buy your ebook and go away. maybe. what do you do with them then. maybe right a product a and b. make a combo product available at an elevated price point.

I think you should definitely test the price.

    1. you know people are willing to pay more.

    2. because people sometimes associate a higher price with quality. (Not always the case)

    3. Since you are a new product, people might think the lower price means it is not as good.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks dudes!

I'm near completion with my e-book. Unfortunately, it's only 49-pages now.. I think I will only hit 55-pages or less. But all the information is straight to the point. And I have to emphasize the real testimonials I got and the real cure to my health problem.

So should I sell the e-book at $47.95 or higher?

I thought of doing product curriculum like one of the post here suggested. I thought of just selling the e-book at $47.95 (or higher?), and for the whole package which consist of the audio files for $67.95 (or higher?).

    Anyway...

Should I set the prices first at $47.95 and $67.95 as an "introductory promotion"?
Or should I just set at a high price without any promotion?

I thought of setting the prices at introductory prices to attract sales, but this will be a turn-off to affiliates. If I set the prices at $67.95 and $97.95 respectively, affiliates will be attracted to help me promote but i fear that there will be no sales =(

I say start with a higher price...

I dont think $30 difference is much... Like someone mentioned add some mp3 for additional bonus.

Make sure the value is there, and make sure your landing is on point.

Look at some of these IM big timers. They charge upwards of $3,000+ for something you can here for $0... But they have made the value seem top notch and that you wont succeed unless you buy from them...

Put yourself in their mindset and think big.. I believe people have more of a desire to buy something that is more expensive because they ultimately think it is the best...

Look at cars for a lame example. What makes Lexus so much better than say a honda... PRICE and marketing value... because honestly both will get me from A to B.. And being from my area there are a lot of lights so having a car go from 0-60 in 5 seconds serves no purpose...

If it's just an ebook and an MP3 you better have one HECK of a sales page!

I assume you want only digital delivery to start?

If your MP3 is in fairly long sections, I would recommend putting them on multiple CDs and mailing them out. People always feel they're getting a great deal if there are 2, 3 or 4 CDs included with the eBook. And this would only cost you an extra few bucks in material and shipping.

    Just my 2 cents...

    Thanks for the replies ^^

Well, there will be around 28-29 MP3 files.
In each mp3, tips and techniques will be explained. And I've included one mp3 file for "emergency" use. ;)

Alright guys, i love all of ya advices.

I think I will set at a higher price! I need to have confidence and faith in my first product.

Thanks again! I will inform you all once I'm done! I be offering at least 65% commission. So that's nearly $50+ commission if I'm selling at 97.65.

Of course you can sell this for a good price, but if you plan to market to a higher paying audience, you better make sure your product LOOKS like it's worth the price. Unfortunately, you can sell dirt if you market it to make it look like gold (expensive), while you'll have a hard time selling gold if it looks like dirt.

That sounds like a very complete package so that price is not too high.

I would say though that you need to offer 75% commissions or you are not going to get affiliates.

    Thanks for the replies, fellows.

I just finished my e-book - it's only 50-pages! Well, I guess I have to emphasize it's straight to the point with no bullshit in my sales pitch page.

It's night-time here.. guess I will sleep and do the voice recordings tomorrow ;)

Don't think the price is too high if your book has good strong content.

    Thanks Ronmac.

Hmm, I felt like charging at $84.95 for the whole package.
To me, $84.95 seems like a high price already.

In my niche market, I've seen a strong competitor selling at $120. Another Strong competitor is selling around $70.

But no, their testimonials are obviously fake and I've tried their content before - it doesn't fu*king work.
