I've currently got an anime streaming website that has about 250-400 concurrent people online at any given time, currently I'm #3 in my keywords' niche but I really need to get to #1, it will put me to about 1000 online at any given time.

Will a forum help my website grow at all?

I think he meant something else, namely if he had a forum on his website.

xjapan, Did you even read the first post at all? seoexpertcochin, at least you read it enough to realize OP is asking something about forums. lol. Both of you need to go back and read the original post again. Your answers make no sense as responses to the actual question being asked. The OP is wondering whether it would benefit his streaming anime website if he were to set up his own forum for the users of his site.
    ----------------------------------------------

OP, I think it really depends on the kind of visitors you are actually getting. You say that you have about 250-400 visitors at any particular time of day. If those visitors are likely to want to participate in discussions about the anime streaming on your site then there is a good chance that having a forum would be a great addition to your site. If you could encourage the visitors participation in the forum then it will generate a lot of topical content that will most likely be noticed by the se crawlers. There would be a good chance that this could be enough to move you up in the SERP, There is also a good chance you could gain some new visitors interested in the discussions about the anime.

On the other hand if the visitors don't really want to participate in the forum, then just having the forum won't really make much of a difference. The good thing about that though is that there is very little chance that just having the forum will hurt. With that in mind it might be worth giving it a try. :)

If you make the decision to give it a try, then there are a couple things to give some thought to. First is you'll want to choose a decent forum to set up. Since you have no idea how it will go over, you may not want to spend much money on it. So a good option would be to use a free opensource forum. Once you make the choice of which forum script to use and have it set up, then you'll need to decide how to encourage your visitors to use it. That becomes a little more challenging because you want to get people using the new forum, but don't want to run anyone off from your site either. That means you'll have to make decisions about things like whether you want to require a certain degree of participation in the forum to continue streaming the anime. Pushing too much can run people off, and pushing too little can make them not want to bother with it.

The only way to really know for sure will be to give it a try though. Based on the limited information you gave I think it would probably be a good idea.

Forum, where the people visit and the traffic of the site is more. You may post some of your anime videos link in the entertainment forum, it will helps to increase the viewers in your site by inducing them to visit your niche site too.
On the other hand, start a forum in your niche will also increase more traffic in your site.

Yes, it would if you are using the right forum software like Xenforo configured properly.

The great thing about forums is that it creates content on an organic basis.

As long as you get enough people engaged by your content, you don't have to worry about paying people to create content for you.

Forums can help you especially when it comes to long tail keywords or up and coming keywords that your competitors have not totally saturated or dominated.

With that said, talking about the value of forums is one thing, actually getting a forum to reach a critical mass where it organically creates content on its own is another thing entirely.

You probably would need to hire people to post internally to your forum and create some illusion of interaction until you get enough real users to participate and it runs on its own.

Depending on your niche, this can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months or even a couple of years.
