Hey guys,

As the title says. I heard from a well known PPC marketer that the more likes and engagement you have on a FB page, the cheaper the ads published from that page will be. What do you guys think? Is it true? Have you experimented this?

Engagement on FB pages is very low or almost dead; what does work is engagements on ads. What I've been doing for years now is always run a low ($1-5/day) budget campaign with PPE objective alongside main conversion/ATC/Traffic, etc. campaign.

I've tested this numerous times, and ads with more engagement always perform better and are way cheaper, which, of course, makes a lot of sense. If you can get them to comment, that gives you the highest engagement rate = more $$$ :)

I always combine my existing audiences to run PPE ads:
- FB page likes,
- visits,
- those that engaged with my page, ads, posts, IG, ... in the last 365 days,
- LAA of page likes,
- LAA of an engaged audience, ...

Good luck!

Interesting! I was wondering how you go about choosing the right interests for a new pixel.

- Shops/brands
- Authors/Influencers
- Magazines
- Authority websites
- Communities ('I love dogs' type)

Flex or broad? If broad, do you test each with $5?

It depends on the niche, but I don't test interests with $5 budget.

If I start with a brand new niche I usually combine 3-5 interests together from a certain category (example shops), and get some data. I also like to use a tool called ConnectExplore which gives more data on how each interest performed.

Connect Explore, huh? Having a look at it and reviews are looking good. Did this tool actually make a difference in your business?

No, it didn't :) It's just an additional tool that can help out regarding data.
