I heard on the news today about legislation to control tracking cookies. So far, I haven't found much about it, so I'm wondering if anyone else has heard about it and if this is a concern to other Clickbank affiliates?

The only online information about it I've found is:

    Code:
    http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2011/02/do-not-track-bill/
The new Internet Explorer browser has a new "do not track" button and other browsers are due to follow suit. This appears to be yet another assault on affiliate marketing. What does BHW think?

It will cause Clickbank to change the way they do it, but they'll find a way around it. Internet Marketing will go on.

IMers pay too much in taxes for the FedGov to want to shut us down. :D

As for the browsers, same thing. IM will adapt, as it always does.

I second this statement. Methods will change but the game is the same.

For the time being, this will affect most affiliates - reduced sales.

More than 60% of internet users use IE.

However, clickbank will do something about it because their own income will also be affected.
