About two months ago I changed my site's geo location to target UK. I've been ranking consistently well in the google.co.uk domain. (over 25 different keywords, all in top 10 positions).

For the same set of keywords, i'm doing just fairly well.. At the max 3rd page.

My question is, if switching back to no geo location targeting would affect my SERP positions for the .co.uk domain?
Also is it because i'm geo targeting UK, my rankings in the general google.com domain is ranking badly?

    Thanks.

Yes, hosting location is one of the many factors Google takes into effect when deciding your SERPs.

By hosting, you referring to web hosting? If so then I must say that its not quite right.

The site is hosted on US based servers, for over a year it was set to general traffic and then I switched it to target UK users via the Google webmaster tools section.

So to rephrase my question, since i'm ranking good on google.co.uk, if I remove the Uk geo targeting then would it help to increase my rankings on google.com domain?
