Will an article on my site get ranked if there's no link to the article on the home page?

Let's say I have a Wordpress website for a company. I have a very unique copyscape passed 500 word article with my keyword in there at 2% density, in h1 h2 h3 b i u tags. Bottom line, it's the perfect article to rank my keyword. But the article is random, doesn't have a place in the context of the website, and not grammatically correct (it was spinned.) Another words, I don't want site visitors to actually read it. After it the post gets ranked, I'm going to set it up so that when users click on it, it redirects to the home page.

So if I make a post and put this article in, but there's no link to the post on my homepage or anywhere on my site, will it get indexed / ranked if I add it to the sitemap?

If you add it to the sitemap yes it will be found, as SE'z will find the sitemap.

What your asking is whether an "orphan" page will get indexed by Google...and the answer is it depends...it depends on whether its listed anywhere within your site or the sitemap. Or potentially if there are links built from external sites pointing at it or you ping it...otherwise how would big G know it exists.

If you want to send me the article I will do my best to rewrite its content. No charge... I've been getting random gigs like this and at least it will be a fresh copy that you can post.

"Perfect article"... lol. Illegible and spun. Perfect.

Sitemap or backlink & index\ping it, you can 301 it after it's been indexed for that page only. When Google recrawls it, you'll need do this over again.

What does it matter that it's spun if it's copyscape passed? It's completely unique in Google's eyes. What does it matter if it's illegible? Is someone from Google going to go to my site and read it?
